HOW TO GROW CARYOPTERIS

Prized for its short habit, Caryopteris also known as Bluebeard is much loved for its fragrant flowers that display from late summer to fall. As they are in the mint family, their leaves have fragrance as well, adding early interest to the garden. They are great for mass plantings, primarily along borders for late season interest. It is recommended to prune them back in early spring to encourage more growth.
