Buddleia, or more commonly, Butterfly Bush, is a gorgeous deciduous shrub with long arching branches and beautifully fragrant flowers that bloom in late spring and summer. A wonderful plant for attractive butterflies and other good bugs to the garden. Flowers colours are typically lavender, violet and purple although white, red, pink and yellow varieties are also available.
Butterfly bush can be grown in full sun or part shade, in moist, but well drained soils.
It is an excellent plant for backgrounds, borders and foundations.
