Striking plum purple foliage with metallic silver highlights adds an important high contrast dynamic to green, shade dappled gardens. Small mounded stature and spreading habit is versatile where space is limited.
Border, Container, Firescaping/Fire Wise, Rock Garden, Woodland Garden. Ideal for front of beds and borders, in rock gardens and containers. Flowers in late spring on 26 inch dark purple stalks bearing tiny white bell-shaped flowers. Prefers evenly moist well drained soils. Herbaceous perennial. Full to partial sun. Moderate growth to just 8 inches tall and 16 inches wide.
Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. For a neat appearance, remove old foliage before new leaves emerge. Divide clumps every 2 to 3 years in early spring.
