Kayla is a certified horticulturalist, graduating from Kwantlen in 2009. Her career has focused on identifying and treating pests and diseases found in the lower mainland. She also has a passion for design and an eye for partnering plants that complement contrasting color and texture.

Most of Kayla’s free time is spent in her many veggie patches at Art’s Nursery, her home and at her community garden. She has been growing and experimenting at the Murrayville community garden since her teens, fueling her career choices.

At Art’s Nursery, Kayla has been greatly influenced and inspired by working alongside the talented designers. With a love for low maintenance gardening, tolerant to the many climates found in the Pacific Northwest, she can help you create the yard of your dreams with minimal maintenance. Other cultural practices Kayla finds exciting is companion planting, incorporation herbs and vegetables into all types of gardens and gardening for four seasons.
