While everybody has there preference when it comes to mowing the lawn, we recommend the following guidelines to keep your lawn healthy and happy:
Mow Your Lawn Tall.
Longer grass blades are more drought tolerant and encourage deeper roots. Longer grass also crowds out weeds. Shorter grass needs more work to stay healthy, weed-free and attractive
Don't Cut Too Much!
When mowing, don't cut more than 1/3 of the grass away at any one time. Following this guideline reduces plant stress and helps conserve moisture in the plant
Keep the Mower Sharp
A dull mower blade frays grass blades and allows moisture to escape, which in turn causes grass tips to turn brown. Keep your mower sharp and it will keep your lawn looking good!
Allow Cut Grass To Stay On Your Lawn
Keeping some cut grass on your lawn will return nutrients back to the soil and serve as a natural mulch.
