Can I Grow A Japanese Maple In A Pot?

Yes. Japanese Maples are shallow rooted and grow very well in a pot, planter or container. The larger the pot the better as it provides more soil mass and nutrients than a smaller one would. Japanese Maples prefer part shade. If yours is going to be located in the full sun, plan on providing a regular amount of water.
