Evergreen shrub prized for beautiful rosy-pink flower buds that open to white, sweetly fragrant flowers. A great foundation plant where soil is well drained. Attractively variegated yellow margin to foliage.
Daphne odora need well drained, humus rich, and neutral soil. They dislike wet feet, so plant high to maximize drainage. Avoid cultivating or disturbing the roots, and transplanting is not recommended. Water infrequently in the summer months. Daphne odora like shade to part shade, and protection from winter winds and cold temperatures in harsh climates. Prune only to maintain their shape.
