What Should I Do If My Lawn Turns Brown in Summer?

Most turf grasses are cool season grasses meaning they generally look better in the cool spring and fall and naturally brown out during the heat of the summer. As a result, it is completely normal for a summer grass to turn golden tan and brown. However, make sure you water it deeply and occasionally to keep it alive. In the fall, when the rains return, your grass will naturally green up and recover.
