Plants are sold in many different sizes and containers. The most common are shown below. The names used are trade names, and are not necessarily true to volume or size. For example, a typical 4 inch pot is actually 3.5 inches measures diagonally. Likewise #1 Pots are often called '1 Gallon Pots' even though they do not hold 1 gallon of volume.

Bulk Turf Blend Soil is a finely tuned mix of 30% composted manure and 70% sand with no added wood waste. A well drained soil blend perfect for new lawns and top dressing. Great for improving drainage and drying up wet spots. Contains lots of sand so can be heavy to work with.
Sold by the tractor scoop, which is approximately 60% of a yard.
