Learn about the different uses of Boxwood Shrubs in your Garden
Boxwoods at Art’s Nursery
We have a vast variety of boxwood shrubs at Art’s Nursery in Surrey. Boxwood Shrubs have a lovely fine textured, slow growing, broad leaf evergreen shrub that can be used as a low hedge, topiary, or even in containers. Boxwoods can be used solely as a specimens or topiary and together framing walkways or foundations planting.
They are quite forgiving and tolerate full sun to part shade conditions. They require a PH of 6-7 that is neural to only slightly acidic as our soil is often quite acidic in the lower mainland.
A handy tip at planting time is to put a small amount of slow release lime into the planting hole. Evergreen fertilizer to be applied in early and late Spring. Boxwood shrubs can be trimmed into many different shapes such as pom poms, squares, rounded, blocks, spirals and more!
