A compact shrub with a slightly spreading habit. Bears large, light blue and very sweet berries. Great fall foliage make this a shrub for the ornamental border. Mid-season ripener.
For best results, plant blueberries in the full sun in moist, rich, acidic soils. Amend the soil with peat moss to ensure acidity. While they are quite hardy, shelter them from cold winds. Do not use bonemeal when planting – a liquid transplant fertilizer is best. Cross pollination is not required, a single blueberry shrub will produce fruit. However, a larger crop will result if more than one blueberry in planted in the same area. Water regularly in the hotter months as blueberries like constant moisture. While regular pruning is not required, you can prune to manage size, shape and overall health. Prune in winter if required. Apply a fruit tree and berry fertilizer, or a fertilizer designed for acidic loving plants in early spring as growth begins
