How Do I Get My Orchid to Re-Bloom?

Getting orchids to re-bloom is actually quite easy if you follow these basic guidelines.

First, make sure your orchids is in bright, but indirect light. 3-4ft away from a south facing window is ideal. Next, ensure your orchid receives regular watering. They should be evenly moist, but not wet at all times. Check the moisture every 2-3 days and water accordingly. Keep the humidity level high by misting occasionally. Orchids also prefer to be somewhat root bound. Do not repot if your orchid is in bloom. Finally, feed your orchid with an orchid specific fertilizer. Once blooms have finished, snip off the flower spike with a pair of sharp pruners.
